Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT) is a private university in Osaka, Japan. It started as “Kansai Engineering Technical School” in 1922, and it gained a 4-year university status and changed its name to “Osaka Institute of Technology” in1949.

It has three campuses: the Omiya Campus is a main campus located in Asahi-ku, Osaka, the Umeda Campus is a new campus opened in 2017 in Downtown Osaka, and the Hirakata Campus is in Hirakata City on the foothill between Osaka and Kyoto.

Herman Van Rompuy
President em. European Council
Herman Van Rompuy is a Belgian politician of the Christian Democratic party CD&V. He was the Prime Minister of Belgium between December 30, 2008, and November 25, 2009, and President of Europe from January 1, 2010, to November 30, 2014. On November 19, 2009, it was announced that he had been elected as the first permanent president, and on March 1, 2012, Van Rompuy was unanimously appointed for a second term of office by the 27 EU heads of state and government. After this term, he was no longer eligible for re-election.
Herman wrote numerous works on social, political and economic themes and acquired in his career numerous Awards and achievements.

In 2014, Herman became president of Living Tomorrow succeeding Jean-Luc Dehaene. Today he is President of the Strategic RoundTables at Living Tomorrow.
Jürgen Ingels
Tech investor - entrepreneur
Jürgen studied political and social sciences at the University of Antwerp, where he obtained an MBA. He then started his career as an investment manager at Dexia Ventures, Dexia's venture capital fund. In 2001 he founded Clear2Pay, a financial technology company. Clear2Pay grew into an international company with offices in more than 20 countries and 1.200 employees. In 2014, Clear2Pay was sold to FIS. After selling his company, he returned to venture capital. Since 2014, Ingels has been managing partner at Smartfin, a venture capital fund that invests in growing European technology companies. He is a director at several large and small companies such as WDP (BEL20), Materialise (NASDAQ), Ghelamco, Guardsquare, Recharge.com, MariaDB and Deliverect.

Jürgen is also the author of Start Grow Sell. He is also the initiator of the technology festival Supernova.

Since 2022, Jurgen is the president of the advisory board of Living Tomorrow.
Joachim De Vos
Innovation expert
Joachim joined Living Tomorrow in 1994. In 2009, Joachim initiated the advisory pillar and so founded Tomorrowlab with Frank Beliën, where he is involved in value-innovation, co-creation and innovation initiatives with leading global organizations. In terms of Innovation, Joachim is the driving force behind the Living Tomorrow partners.
Over the years Joachim has been responsible for the innovation business and partners, creating synergies between the hundreds of small to large companies, knowledge institutions and authorities. Joachim has become an esteemed thought leader on innovation, advising many companies and governments in their innovation journey. Joachim is also a Professor at the University of Ghent.
Joachim's presentations are a masterclass in foresight, filled with passion, vision, and insight. He doesn't just talk about the future; he brings it to life, offering practical strategies and insights drawn from extensive experience in both business and consumer innovation. Joachim is also the author of the book Why innovation fails.
